Event details
Join Georgia Rivers for our inaugural journey on the Chattahoochee River’s newest paddle-in campsites along the river in South Fulton County. Part of the Chattahoochee RiverLands project, the paddle-in campsites feature restroom and shower facilities, tent sites and other amenities. This journey will make use of campsites at Campbellton and Chattahoochee Hills, covering 28 miles of the scenic and historic Chattahoochee. We’ll camp Friday night at Campbellton, paddle 16 miles on Saturday to Chattahoochee Hills, camp again, and then finish out the trip with a 12-mile float to McIntosh Reserve in Carroll County.
Registration fees include guide services and maps, shuttle services, catered breakfasts and dinners and evening educational programs. Participants may choose to carry their camp gear in their boats or have it shuttled campsite to campsite by Georgia Rivers staff. Participants should plan their own lunch food and on-river snacks. Rental boats can be reserved during registration.
