National Park Week Kick-Off: National JR Ranger Day & Earth Week!

Join the National Park Service and Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy for a Triple Celebration on one fabulous Spring day. This is a ‘drop-in’ event. Feel free to join us anytime between the hours of 1 – 4 pm on April 19th for NPS themed activities for all ages. No need to register for this event but we do encourage it!

We’ll have activities for all ages at our Island Ford Visitor Center, including a recycled materials crafting station to create useful objects that divert landfill waste, a station to make native seed balls and plantings for your garden, a park scavenger hunt and photo contest, and of course the opportunity for kids, adults, and pets to become sworn-in Junior Rangers and B.A.R.K. Rangers!

April 19 is one of six fee-free days in 2025! No entrance fee to the park on April 19.
