For Black History Month 2025, WAWA will focus on celebrating the legacy of Black environmentalists and cultural figures, as we foreshadow the 50th Anniversary of the OAC in November 2025. The event will connect the past, present, and future through themes from the Black Power Movement and Afrofuturism, emphasizing environmental stewardship.
During this guided hike, Ayinde Summers will take us on a journey through the old growth forests, similar to the journeys our ancestors.
